All winter long I have been down in the dumps and it has been reflected in my choice of cosmetics. Yes, I may have been wearing some purples or teal on the eyes but when it came time to choose my lip color I always went to a nude tone. Well now I have decided that it is time to get out of the rut and do a bright lip. This will likely help change my whole attitude.
No matter what goes on in my life I always have my love of cosmetics. I know that when I put on my makeup in the morning I feel better about myself. I hadn’t realized that the nude lip was a psychological act of slight depression but with the weather being so spring like this winter I find myself wanting to delve into spring already. Yesterday I talked about coral as the color for spring. Today I said, why not use the MAC Viva Glam Nicki Minaj lipstick, which is an all out bright pinky coral.
My look today is very bright and springy! It consists of MAC’s Cutie eye quad (Azuki Bean in the crease, outer lid and under the eye, Goody Goody Gum Drop on the lid and Moshi Moshi! under the brow); L’Oreal Lineur Intense in Defined Plum on the upper lid and MAC False Lashes mascara. On the cheeks I used MAC’s Beauty Powder in Play it Proper (a shimmery lavender) from the new Chenman Love and Water collection. I think it all makes a nice light look with the Viva Glam Nicki, which is a very bright Satin pinky coral.
My outlook is a little bit more sunny because I feel like I am having fun with my makeup. For me that has always been something that makes me feel better, no matter what is going on in my life.

I am the same way. I find when I have been down in a while I haven't been wearing any color! I still love a bold red, as I always have.
