Normally I would say this is a review. However, I like this line so much, that it is more of a rave. I don’t know how I am so late to the party on this one. I must have been asleep at the wheel. The ladies who started SauceBox Cosmetics are a mother and daughter team who are makeup addicts (like myself). They took their dream and made it a reality!!!! (I am so envious……..
SauceBox comes from the Old English, and means rude and impudent, obnoxious. Don’t you love it? Their goal was to create a high quality cosmetics line, without the high price. Definitely success!!!!!! They believe that everyone is beautiful and that everybody needs to shine. Currently they have an extensive collection of eye shadows. However, they want to create more items.
I picked up three palettes to try. Two of them are six pan and one four pan palette. These come from a special they have on the site. I purchased Forbidden Fruits, Crème de la Crème and Temptation. For all of these together you can get them for $85.00! That’s 16 eye shadows! What an amazing price!!!!!!
Forbidden Fruits:
Six eye shadows themed in shimmery pink, red and matte purple.
Crème de la Crème:
Six eye shadows in neutral shades of all shimmery cream, bronze, silver and matte black.
Temptation:
Four eye shadows in a mix of matte bright blue, and the rest are shimmery orange, teal and yellow.
This is the look with Forbidden Fruits: I used the medium plum shimmer in crease, then I took the dark matte plum shimmer and used it just below that and in the outer corner of eye. I lined the lower lid with it. On the lid I used the bright reddish pink and then took the lighter pink over it. Under the brow I blended the light cream champagne from the Crème de la Crème palette. The upper lid was lined in black with the new Illamasqua Precision Gel in Infinity. I also used a black liner under the eye, Illamasqua’s Erratic. For mascara I wanted to try Jordana’s Best Lash Extreme (drugstore, $2.99!!!!). On my cheeks I used MAC’s Beauty Powder in Pretty Baby (light plum) and I thought a nude lip was in order, MAC’s Hight Tea.
You can see that SauceBox eye shadows are very pigmented. They go on very smoothly, without fading, last all day long (I used a primer of course, but they still last) and are priced to sell. What more could a makeup fanatic want? How about colors? They have colors TDF! So many colors!!! I was torn whether to buy these palettes or to get some cute singles, but in the end I decided on the palettes. Their singles are usually $8.75. Those are very reasonable. Now I have to go back and get some of the wonderful blues and greens. And corals… Saucebox is available at www.sauceboxcosmetics.com. Go now!
I almost never comment, but i did some searching and wound up here "SauceBox Cosmetics: A Line You Need To Investigate!".
ReplyDeleteAnd I do have 2 questions for you if you don't mind. Could it be just me or does it look as if like some of the comments appear like coming from brain dead folks? :-P And, if you are posting at other online sites, I'd like to follow everything fresh you have to post.
