Question: How do you get the perfect smoky eye? Answer: With the SEPHORA COLLECTION Event Entry Palette. This awesome little palette of 8 pigmented eye shadows spells out s-m-o-k-y. Going to work? Get a nude smoky eye! Going out clubbing or to an event? Get a hot smoky eye! And the price is phenomenal! The palette is only $11.00 and is housed in a cute little silver glitter over black flip top case. Slip this into your purse or pocket and get going!
The eye shadows are as follows: satin cream, shimmery beige, shimmery copper, satin cocoa brown, shimmery silver, shimmery gunmetal, glittery charcoal and matte black. You can see from the photo to the side that the eye shadows swatch well. Even the lightest ones are pigmented. These shadows are fairly soft, soft enough that when I accidentally scraped my finger into one it left a large dent! There is just a tiny bit of fallout with them but I use a technique that I learned to combat this. I think that the colors in this palette are great. There are four warm tones on the top row and four cool tones on the bottom row. These can be mingled to create various looks. Hot now are nude smoky eyes and really dark, goth smoky eyes. This palette is perfect for that!
Above is a look I did with the SEPHORA Collection Event Entry Palette. I used the shimmery copper shade in the crease. Then I took the shimmery charcoal shade and used it on the outer edge of my lid, under my eye and just a little bit in the crease to add some depth. I used the shimmery beige shade all over my lid to lighten it and make it pop. The satin cream shade was used under the brow and to blend with the shimmery copper shade at the crease. I lined my eyes with the Black Lace shade from the SEPHORA COLLECTION 12HR Wear Waterproof Contour Eye Pencil Set ($22.00). The pencil is so creamy and soft I was able to use it on the top and bottom quite easily without dragging. I think this is a new love for me, over the main popular brand of waterproof eye pencil!!!! Look how it makes my eyes look huge! For mascara I used SEPHORA’s Outrageous Volume Mascara, ($15.00), one of my absolute favorites. On my lips I used the Neutral Rose No. 6 Shade from the SEPHORA Gloss Fantasy Lip Gloss Set ($25.00). I would describe it as more of a shimmery peachy rose.
The SEPHORA COLLECTION Event Entry Palette is available on www.sephora.com and in SEPHORA stores now. I am loving this palette so much. It packs a large punch for such a tiny palette. SEPHORA has come out with some really great items with holiday season. This palette is a STEAL really. Don’t forget to take a look at my review of the SEPHORA Collection IT Palette-Glitter. This palette is also extremely pigmented and is very versatile. Keep an eye out for more reviews to come!
