Although I am touting this as a great gift idea, the SEPHORA Collection Color Anthology eye shadow palette is also a great steal for those of your who are beauty junkies like myself. It contains 70 highly pigmented eye shadows that will lend itself to endless looks. Organized by color family and from lightest to darkest shades, the eye shadows in this palette are a mix of matte, satin and lovely shimmer shades. Want a smoky eye? Done. How about a bright purple eye? Also done! This eye shadow palette is meant for fun. I myself am in love with it.
Seriously, the eye shadows are very pigmented and there is just a small amount of fallout with some of the shimmer shades. These eye shadows are all pretty soft and easy to load on the brush. I think that anyone would love to receive it as a gift but I think you would do yourself a favor and buy a second one to keep for yourself! Did I mention that there are 70 shades in it? Tips: start with the lightest shade and move on to the darkest shade for a graded effect. Or for a bold look, combine shades from a different lines to create more artistic effects.
Let’s take a look at the gorgeous shades…

Looks with SEPHORA Collection Color Anthology:
Look #1: For this look I used the purples in the eye shadow palette. This is kind of an ombre look. I took a dark matte purple and used it in the crease. Then I used the dark shimmery purple and used it on the outer edge of the upper lid and to line under the eye. I took the lovely iridescent purple and used it on the lid, blended it out on the outer edge of the eye. Under the brow I used the very light lilac color to blend out the matter dark purple. This look makes my eyes look green instead of blue-green. I used Outrageous Volume Mascara on my lashes.
Look #2: This is a light smoky look on the eye. I used a matte gray in the crease and then took a dark gray and used it just underneath that to make the crease have more depth. That same color was used in the outer edge of the lid and under the eye to liner. Silver was used on the lid to brighten up the eye. I used a very light matte cream under the brow to blend the matter gray. I used Outrageous Volume Mascara (my favorite mascara).
The SEPHORA Collection Color Anthology is a steal at $35.00. It is available from www.sephora.com and SEPHORA stores. This has to be one of my favorite palettes ever. Seriously. How can you not like 70 eye shadows with great color payoff?!?!? There is just a little bit of fallout on the softest eye shadows. Even the lightest shades have pigment. Yay! A beauty junkie’s dream come true!

ReplyDeleteits really pretty
I know, I am almost positive that this could be my favorite palette!
DeleteHow do these neutrals compare to the Smashbox Full Exposure palette? Do I need both?
ReplyDeleteLove your 2nd look, btw.
Personally I think these shadows are better. I have Full Exposure and the shadows are not as highly pigmented. Sorry but it is true! :(
