I cannot believe how many products I have seen this spring that are on trend with the theme of the ‘rosy nude’ color scheme. Every time I turn my head, up pops another collection! Here I am going to give you some selections from the drugstore that I found. These items are inexpensive and will give you that luminous, rosy nude glow that really looks good on just about anyone. There are so many pink shades available, you should be able to find one that fits you. Ditto with the nude shades. So today I am going to help you by giving you some ideas!
Eyes:
Physicians Formula Sexy Booster Oh Oh Sexy Eye Shadow Quad
This is billed as the perfect palette to create a sexy eye look. Can be used wet or dry. I used this and LOVE it. It makes a great smoky eye. The eye shadows wear for up to 12 hours. Your look can be customized and tailored for you.
Physician’s Formula Shimmer Strips All-in-1 Custom Nude Palette for Face & Eyes
Similar in concept to their Nude Wear, this ‘Nude Glow’ Palette is essentially a large shimmer brick. It has 12 colors (12 eye shadows, 3 eye liners, bronzer, blush and highlighter) in it, a large brush, a mirror and a tiny eye shadow brush. Also in the back is a “Nude Glam Guide”. What I like about this is that the darker colors are pigmented enough to be seen on the face and the light colors make great hi-light colors. It takes a stab at being an all-around palette and does a good job!
Maybelline Expert Wear Nude Glow Eye Shadow
This lovely, natural glowing eye shadow is one that looks great on most people. It is a new color this season (one of 3) and helps achieve the nude glow on the eye. Use with a dark cocoa on the lid and as a liner
Cheeks:
A couple of weeks ago I posted about some drugstore items that were already in the stores that were perfect for this trend (http://bit.ly/1lhhC7I). Check out the post because in it are Revlon’s Skinlights, Cheek Boutique, Maybelline’s Master Hi-Light and Master Glaze and Physician’s Formula Nude Wear items.
Maybelline Master Glaze by FaceStudio
The Master Glaze Blush Sticks are wonderful new cream blushes that provide a great punch of color and it can be sheer or strong, as you want it.. I have a few of these and I do think these are some of the better cream blushes that I have used. Kudos to Maybelline for coming up with some nice cream blushes that don’t give you clown cheeks!
Maybelline HiLight by FaceStudio in Nude ( I also have Light bronze, which is a beautiful contour color). These have color and shimmer in them that when swirled together give you both color and hi-light on the cheek that will make it pop out.
Lips:
The best thing about the spring trend is the abundance of rose and nude lip colors. I don’t think I have ever seen so many beautiful items to choose from, next to nail polish of course (which I usually skip because that is its own category and not my forte). Lips can be changed by the swipe of a Kleenex. So you can go from day to night in a swoosh. Whatever you do, make a statement. With eyes taking a backseat this spring, lips need to have a little bit more color. It needs to have some pigment. I have found some really nice items that are so inexpensive it’s not even funny! These are just some that I thought would look good on myself, the colors this year are abundantly beautiful. NYC New York Color has a good selection of colors that are pretty, as does Revlon and of course the winner in beautiful lip colors, Maybelline!
Maybelline The Buffs are just about one of the best lipstick displays that I have seen! Ten shades that are various shades of nude brown and you are guaranteed to find one or two for yourself.
Rimmel London Show Off Lip Lacquer in Nude Eclipse
Rimmel London Show Off Lip Lacquer in Solstice
NYC New York Color Expert Last Lipcolor in Sugar Plum
Revlon ColorBurst Lacquer Balm in Demure Reservee
NYC New York Color City Proof Twistable in Nolita Neutral and Parsons Pink
Wet n’Wild Mega Slicks Balm Stain in Nudist Colony and Pinky Promise
Maybelline The Elixir in Nude Illusion
Maybelline The Elixir in Glistening Amber
Maybelline The Buffs ( 910 Bare All, 915 Blushing Beige, 920 Nude Lust, 935 Sin-A-Mon, 945 Stormy Sahara)
Nude Look:
To get this nude look I used the Physician's Formula Sexy Booster Quad on my eyes. I line with a Bobbi Brown liquid eyeliner that kicks butt (Ink Liner in Blackest Black). I used L’Oreal Butterfly mascara on my eyes LOVE this). On my cheeks I used Master Glaze in Coral Sheen. On my lips I used Rimmel London Show Off Lacquer in Nude Eclipse over Maybelline The Bluffs in 910 Bare All (love Bare All, it is the perfect light pink).
I hope you have found some inspiration for a drugstore trip in the future. Get out there and pick out some great shades of rosy nude or nude for yourself. And send them to me! I will put them in a future post.
Until Next Time:
