Here is an addendum to my Rosy Nude Forecast! Just in the past few weeks more “Rosy Nude” shades or items that are similar in shade to a “rosy nude” have hit the drugstore shelves! I am going to bring you some more items from my Trend Forecast, because I don’t want you to miss out on some seriously pretty products out there. These drugstore items are gorgeous.
Don’t miss this, Revlon has brought back their infamous PhotoReady SkinlightsTM collection. This was a huge hit for them in the 1990’s, illuminating women’s faces all over the world. Revlon PhotoReady Skinlights™ Face Illuminator, once a cult favorite by top makeup artists and women everywhere, is now a part of the innovative PhotoReady collection. It means the lightweight, sheer illuminator contains photochromatic pigments that bend and reflect light to help diffuse and minimize flaws as well as light-capturing crystals to bring new luminous dimension to skin. The new formula banishes dullness and instantly brightens skin for a lit-from-within look. Revlon PhotoReady Skinlights™ Face Illuminator can be worn alone to highlight cheekbones, bridge of the nose or wherever you want to add a bit of luminosity. You can also mix with your favorite foundation to enhance your skin’s glow (this is how I use it). Retails for $12.99 at mass market retailers and at www.revlon.com.

Yesterday I was at Rite-Aid and I found some awesome items from Physicians Formula! I usually stay away from this line but I like the cute packaging and concept for these. They are called Nude Wear Glowing Nude Powder. These have perfecting nude pigments to give you glowing nudes skin. There were three products. I bought two: Nude Wear Glowing Powder in Light and Nude Wear Glowing Blush in Rose. The other was a bronzer. There was also a highlighter/concealer in one shade, Nude Wear Touch of Glow in Nude Glow.

The concealer I wore this morning and it goes on a little yellow but dries pretty “nude” without being too dark. I do not have dark circles that needed to be covered but I do want something that gives me a glow. As for the powder, I would LOVE to have a powder that gives me a light glow as well as sets my makeup. Those two things are very hard to find. I used the Light shade and as soon as I did the silver on top did disappear as soon as I swooshed the brush across, making it disappointing that the possible glow is not all the way through? I hope the Rose blush is better!
The Glowing Nude Powder is $14.95. The Nude Wear Glowing Blush is $12.95. The Nude Wear Touch of Glow concealer is $12.95. I purchased these at a Rite-Aid store. Often the store runs BOGO 50% and it is better to purchase them that way. They are also available online at www.physiciansformula.com.

Maybelline has also come out with a whole new series of cheek colors. There are two products, Master Hi-Light by Face Studio (blush and bronzer) and Master Glaze by Face Studio (blush stick). I purchased two of each to try out. The Master Hi-Light by Face Studio comes in 6 combinations. There are 4 blush combinations and 2 bronzer combinations. Each palette has an expert balance of shades and shimmer for a natural glow. This means no glitz and all glamour! To get the best results sweep brush gently over cheekbones, brow bones and temples or anywhere light touches the face. These retail for $9.99 at mass market retailers. The Face Studio Master Glaze Blush Stick comes in 6 shades. Cheeks go dewy and gently glazed with this portable, creamy blush stick. Glazed pearls + a shea butter glide provide blendable, natural color and smooth, even application. For best results, glide over cheekbones towards the temple. Blend with fingertips and build for desired color impact. Color so pretty and sheer, can be made to be vibrant! Retails for $9.99 and is also available on www.maybelline.com.

So, these are just a few items that I thought would look great with the “Rosy Nude” look that is so trendy these days. Cheeks are going to be rosy and predominant this spring. Skin will be glowing, you can bet on that. Eyes will take a break from the smoky looks and have a softer touch to them. Lips, well lips will always have either a gorgeous fresh light lipstick or a beautiful glossy lip going on.
