This spring the wacky, fun brand Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics introduces Cosmetic Colour Pencils, smooth and creamy pencils that come in 12 shades. The pencils are 100% vegan, carmine free, no fillers, no binders, no extenders and are cruelty free. These pencils are for use anywhere, eyes, lips, cheeks, you name it! I bought a few shades to try out and I want to tell you all about them!
OCC made sure to make these with mineral rich pigments so that they would have great pigmentation on the skin. And they are so creamy, just a little bit more than the best pencils on the market now (I am not naming names but you know who makes the most popular pencils with a gazillion colors). I think that these are just as good as those, if not just a tad bit better.
I purchased the following colors: Trick (matte beige-tan), Sybil (matte chocolate), Black Dahlia (matte blackened red) , Hoochie (matte magenta), Anime (matte neon pink) and Pool Boy (matte bright sky blue). Certain colors are not recommended for the eye area (at least in the US, other countries have different standards), these colors are: Anime, Black Dahlia, Grandma, Hoochie, NSFW, and Trick. What gets me is that these colors are considered safe to use around the eyes in other countries but not here in the USA. I actually wore Hoochie on my eyes last night and it didn’t bother me at all, no itching or burning, no irritation. It did make the green in my eyes pop though. I applied it to the top and bottom lids, and it went on so smooth that it was like butter! these pencils are almost like oil pastels, they are so creamy. I wore Trick as a lip liner and it worked quite well. It went on smoothly, without tugging and it did well as a base for lipstick.

The Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetic Colour Pencils are all around great pencils that can be used for multiple purposes. They have a great color selection, last for a long time, go on smoothly and are very creamy. I think these pencils could beat out the number one selling pencil and I hope that OCC will make them in more colors. They are also a little bit less expensive than the other number one selling pencil and are definitely worth spending money on. I am loving these pencils so much! Another plus is the color selection they have: a few purples, blue, coral, browns, black, white, tan, cream, and a clear shade. OCC, can you please make some more shades? Pretty please? With sugar on top?
The Cosmetic Colour Pencils are $16.00 and can be purchased on www.occmakeup.com, www.sephora.com, and the OCC store in New York.
