Review: Shiseido Lacquer Gloss #Shiseido #LacquerGloss

This spring Shiseido introduces Lacquer Gloss, a cross between a lipstick and a gloss. Lacquer Gloss is rich in pigment and lasts a very long time on the lips. It has a rich, deep sheen and a vivid, clear color. This gloss is reminiscent of the Japanese art of Lacquerware. It promises to help moisturize lips and leave them softer than ever before. Lacquer Gloss comes in 8 lovely shades. I tried Debut (BE 102), a nude pinky-brown shade with just enough shimmer to give it a 3D effect.

I have worn the shade received several times now. What else can I say except that I adore it! The thing that I love most is how weightless it feels on the lips. It feels like almost nothing on the lips, just like a little bit of non-sticky gloss and the color is so rich and pigmented. The directions say to apply Lacquer Gloss after mixing the formula with the applicator, for perfect color and sheen. I do love the applicator, it is an elongated doe foot applicator that allows for a perfect application on top and bottom lips. I am looking forward to trying out some of the other colors! It does last a very long time too. Today I have been wearing it for 6 hours and it still looks as fresh as when I applied it. The gloss applies kind of wet and has a dry-down after application. So it “sets” and stays for hours, looking great. And the shine? Let’s talk killer shine! It is reminiscent of a lacquered table. The shine is unbelievable! What is even better is that it isn’t sticky at all. The colors that are available as of now are so pretty: reds, a nice nude (the one I am wearing), a pretty lavender, coral and a gold. I am sure they will be coming out with more colors in the near future!
