Alpha Beta® Glow Pad™ - created by NYC dermatologist and skincare brand founder Dr. Dennis Gross - receives ingredient technology patent
The United States Patent and Trademark Office has awarded a patent to Dr. Dennis Gross, founder of 900 5th Dermatology in New York City and creator of Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare™.
Dr. Dennis Gross' Alpha Beta® Glow Pad™ – already industry-adored as the first anti-aging and exfoliating self-tanner – has now earned him official patent rights on the clever ingredient technology he used to make them.
Alpha Beta® Glow Pad™ uses an unrivaled ingredient blend: active vitamin D2 (Ergocalciferol), microencapsulated DHA, and skin-restoring extracts. There is not a single tanning treatment on the market that has ever combined DHA with active vitamin D – a powerhouse antioxidant for skin health – which provides anti-aging benefits without the dangerous sun exposure that inactive forms of vitamin D require. Alpha Beta® Glow Pad™ creates a safe and streak-free glow on the face and body, all the while creating skin that is truly healthy from within.
"I applied scientific principles to achieve a self-tanner that enhanced the health of the skin, not just the appearance," Dr. Dennis Gross said. "I wanted my patients to have access to the best of both worlds."
The industry's very first anti-aging and exfoliating self-tanner, Alpha Beta® Glow Pad™ revolutionized the industry upon hitting the market. The Glow category in Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare™ (which has five other brand categories: Peels, Acne Solutions, Daily Essentials, Targeted Treatments, and Clinical Haircare) consists of four SKUs — Alpha Beta® Glow Pad™ for Face, Alpha Beta® Glow Pad™ for Body, Alpha Beta® Daily Glow Moisture, and Alpha Beta® Glotion for Body.
"Our business skyrocketed with the launch of the Glow Pad™, and we've seen tremendous growth in our Glow category ever since. This patent is further testimony to the authority our brand holds in the skin health and beauty market," said Carrie Gross, CEO and President of Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare™. "We just launched a sister product, Alpha Beta® Glotion for Body, so we know our potential within the Glow category is astronomical, and can't wait to see where it takes us and our clients."
Alpha Beta® Glow Pad™ is sold in configurations of 20 and 50 applications, and are available at Sephora, Nordstrom, QVC, in boutique spas, and on dgskincare.com.
