Get the Look: Rosamund Pike at 2014 Met Gala #Sisley

ROSAMUND PIKE AT 2014 MET GALA

Celebrity Makeup Artist, Melanie Inglessis, created a sultry burgundy smoky eye to complement Rosamund Pike’s

Louis Vuitton Gown at the 2014 Met Gala.

“For the Met Ball you really want to go with an edgy look, something that is going to stand out. For Rosamund, I

created a sultry, smoky eye with dewy, luminous skin. I wanted to keep her makeup fresh and glowing, with a fresh

and modern smoky eye that is not too done up, a little rough around the edges. I really wanted this look to go with

her personality” said Inglessis.

“First, I used the Express Flower Gel Mask to make sure her skin looked radiant, fresh and awake. Then I applied

a little Hydra-Global Moisturizer to keep the skin dewy and hydrated. I primed the skin and then used the Phyto-Teint

Eclat foundation mixed with a little bit of Radiant Immediate Lift to create a glow. The Phyto-Touche Illusion d’ete

Bronzer gives a light glow and a natural bronze so I used it on the contour of the cheeks and blended

it into the skin.”

“To begin the smoky eye, I used a linter to create a thin line all the way across the top lash line, and then I lined

about a quarter of the lower lid with a thin line. I really wanted this smoky eye to have a little color, so I used a matte

burgundy shadow across the lid and blended it with a more shimmery burgundy shadow to create depth. Then to

complement the smoky eye and dewy skin, I went with a nude lip. The Phyto-Lip Twist is wonderful because it

functions as a lip liner and a lipstick and it glides across the lips effortlessly.”
