From the Red Carpet of the 2014 Met Gala
Featuring: Nicole Richie (Designer/TV Personality)
Nicole Richie, Fashion Designer and star of the AOL Series #CandidlyNicole, stepped onto the red carpet of the 2014 Met Gala, fashion and beauty’s biggest night of the year, in a soft and delicate makeup look created by Celebrity Makeup Artist Beau Nelson using NYX Cosmetics. Richie’s beautiful Donna Karan Atelier gown and vibrant lavender hair reminded Nelson of an oceanic goddess. “I accented Nicole’s features with subtle highlighting and touches of glitter to complement her teal dress and colorful hair,” said Nelson.
Complexion:
Nelson started the look with NYX Cosmetics Mineral Stick Foundation in a variety of tan shades to build dimension on Richie’s face. He applied the foundation in “Golden Beige” in the center of her cheeks and then used the “Cool Tan” and “Warm Tan” shades towards the outer perimeter of her face.
Cheeks:
To further define Richie’s face shape, Nelson swept NYX Cosmetics Highlight and Contour Powder just under Richie’s cheekbones. He then used NYX Cosmetics Baked Blush in “Foreplay” for a tiny hint of color on the tops of her cheekbones and Cupid’s bow above her lips. Next, Nelson applied NYX Cosmetics Born to Glow Liquid Illuminator in “Sunbeam” to Richie’s skin to give her a metallic otherworldly glow.
Eyes:
Inspired by Richie’s sea foam green dress and lavender locks, Nelson applied NYX Cosmetics The Natural Shadow Palette to her eyelids in soft russet shades for a soft makeup look. Next, he applied two coats of NYX Cosmetics Lush Lashes Mascara and NYX Cosmetics Fabulous Lashes in “Nirvana” to add more volume to Richie’s eyes. Finally, Nelson applied see-through glitter on her eyelids for an ethereal, but glam touch.
Lips:
Nelson finished the look with NYX Cosmetics Matte Lipstick in “Spirit,” a nude pink shade that complemented her natural yet radiant makeup look.
