This cream also has hyaluronic acid for great moisturization, as it is a humectant that holds 1000x its own weight in water. Ajidew N-50 is derived from sodium and is a natural humectant that is found in the skin. It is one of the components of the skin’s own Natural Moisturizing Factor (NMF). This humectant really retains moisture and imparts a pleasant and moist feeling to the skin and helps to maintain skin’s softness and elasticity. DL Panthenol is pro-vitamin B5 and has an anti-inflammatory effect that improves the appearance of the skin by alleviating its dryness and roughness. It moisturizes the stratum corneum, helps to reduce moisture loss and maintains skin’s elasticity and softness. This sunscreen/moisturizer also contains boscia’s proprietary blend of jojoba leaf and willowherb. Jojoba leaf helps to prevent free radical damage while also nourishing the skin. Willowherb helps to calm the skin’s inflammation and reduces redness and irritation.
What I love about this cream is that it is very light. The sunscreen goes on white at first (due to the high zinc oxide content) but it does eventually blend into the skin within a few minutes. Once into the skin, there is no trace of the white sunscreen at all leftover. This is also a moisturizer and it does leave the skin feeling moisturized too, but the nice thing is it is not too heavy at all. I have normal skin. At this stage of the spring season my skin feels almost “perfectly” normal, meaning there is not too much oil on my skin yet as will happen when the weather gets hotter. This cream feels just right. It does not feel too greasy nor does it make my skin feel heavy. Even when I put foundation on top of it! I also love that this has a good dose of sunscreen, a SPF 50. My skin is very fair and in the summer months I need a good and high SPF. This sunscreen/moisturizer is an excellent choice for the spring/summer months or any time you need to get outside and protect your skin. boscia has done it again, with another excellent product.
