The Number One skincare line in Japan is now available in the United States. Hada Labo was created by Rohto Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. under the concept of “Perfect and Simple”. They promised highly effective skincare and eliminated unnecessary ingredients and additives. Since the company introduced the products in 2004, the brand name has grown to more than 60 different products and expanded to several Asian countries.
Hada Labo Tokyo is the first Japanese skincare line to launch to US mass retailers. Rohto Pharmaceutical started off as a small family owned drugstore in Japan and has grown to be the 2nd largest health company in Japan. Mentholatum was acquired by Rohto Pharmaceutical and now owns products such as Softlips, pHisoderm and OXY acne medication.
The science behind Hada Labo is Hyaluronic Acid, a humectant that is a naturally occurring substance in our bodies. It holds 1,000 times its own weight in water. Hyaluronic Acid is important because it helps keep skin looking plump, soft and smooth. When we are young our skin produces a lot of it but as we age (and as we are exposed to the sun) our skin produces less and less hyaluronic acid. Hada Labo uses it to boost moisture levels and to strengthen its natural hydrating ability and youthful qualities. Skincare with hyaluronic acid also has a plumping effect as skin is infused with moisture.
Protecting Day Lotion SPF 18 1.7 fl.oz. $17.99
This moisturizer combines broad spectrum sun protection and Super Hyaluronic Acid™ to help replenish moisture loss and protect skin against the sun’s rays. It strengthens the skin’s resistance to signs of premature aging. The gentle formula leaves skin feeling very comfortable, smooth and protected. It has a very lightweight formula, so it is good for any season or all skin types, it is oil free and non-comedogenic. This formula is also free from any fragrance, parabens, dyes and mineral oil. The sunscreen in this lotion is a SPF 18 but it is a chemical component. The sunscreen ingredients are: avobenzone 2%,octinoxate 7.5%, octisalate 2.5% and octocrylene 1.8%. It also contains an amino acid derivative that helps hold moisture onto the skin.
Anti-Aging Hydrator 1.7 fl.oz. $17.99
This is a super deep hydrating serum with Super Hyaluronic Acid™ that works great underneath the Protecting Day Lotion SPF 18 and also with Retinol Complex and Collagen. It is formulated to help increase skin’s firmness and elasticity, reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and keep skin soft and smooth. I love how this makes my skin feel. Because it is so light, this serum will work with any skin type, even those who have extreme acne. ReplyDeleteConsidering the moisturizing serum, the high concentration of hyaluronic acid makes it very effective for deep hydration of the skin. Does not leave any greasy effect, a comfortable and supple skin.
