New York Fashion Week Recap: Butter London at Lela Rose and Milly #ButterLONDON, #NYFW

Backstage at Lela Rose and Milly, butter LONDON’s Global Colour Ambassador Katie Jane Hughes created fashion-forward nail looks that compliment S/S 2015 collections sponsored by Beauty.com.

Designer: Lela Rose

Lead Manicurist: Katie Jane Hughes

The Scoop: The nail was inspired by the clean lines in the collection. Full of colors and prints, the collection was elegant yet modern.

The Nail Look - here’s how Katie created the look:

1. Apply two coats of butter LONDON Nail Foundation to create a clean, nude base.

2. Place nail art studs on the pointer and pinky fingers of one hand and the middle and pinky fingers of the other hand for a sleek twist on a nude nail.

The Scoop: Taking a spin on Madonna’s look in the early 80s, this collection has a retro vibe without coming off as vintage. The modern take on the era makes for a fun, bold collection.

The Nail Look - here’s how Katie created the look:

1. Apply butter LONDON Nail Lacquer in Yummy Mummy to the nail.

2. Then apply butter LONDON Nail Foundation Flawless Finish Basecoat over the color to tone down the color underneath and give a creamier, softer effect to the shade.

3. Lastly, top the nail off with butter LONDON Nail 999 Topcoat to lock in color and make it shine.
