The best thing about makeup right now is that matte, metallic, shimmer and holographic are all in at the same time. It has never happened before. It may never happen again. Take advantage of all the wonderful makeup textures that you have before you and use them. There are all kinds of interesting colors too. Maybelline just came out with some new lipsticks called Color Sensational Powder Matte. They are matte but feel powdery on. Very pretty.
These lipsticks saturate lips in pure matte edginess. This is extreme matte lipstick. Now available with up to twice more mattifying powders in a collection of showstopping colors: Nocturnal Rose, Cruel Ruby, Carnal Brown, Smoky Jade and Concrete Jungle. These give great pigmentation and have wonderful colors to choose from, some that are a little unusual but work anyway.

I find these lipsticks to be a little drying on the lips though. So I wear a lip balm underneath to keep my lips from getting chapped. But otherwise I am very happy with the colors and texture of the lipstick itself.
